My name is Christina Santiago, and I’m a recent graduate from James Madison University, in Harrisonburg, VA. I’m a first-generation college graduate and I earned my degree in Music Education with a vocal concentration. While in college I was active in various organizations, including being on the executive boards for the JMU chapter of the American Choral Directors Association (Vice President) and JMU’s Latino Student Alliance (Co-Publicity).
I converted to Catholicism when I was 14, and my faith has been an important part of my life ever since. I’m especially excited for the opportunity to give back to a church community through music and ministry.
Music has always been my biggest passion. Singing is my favorite, but I also play six instruments: piano, guitar, ukulele, clarinet, handbells, and I’m currently learning the organ.
I was born and raised in Virginia. I love spending my free time hiking, watching soccer, I enjoy traveling and exploring new places (especially anywhere near the beach), and I love spending time with my friends and family. I can’t wait to meet everyone and am looking forward to a great year!
